Education at Meynell Langley

Food for Life Farm VisitMeynell Langley and Lodge Farm offer many opportunities for learning.  As we increasingly recognise the need to re-connect with the natural world and the vital part it plays in keeping us alive and well, groups of all ages will find much to engage their interest on our Organic Farm and exploring the living countryside.

Sustainable food production and conservation of our bio-diversity need to be at the heart of mankind's thinking for the future, and visits to Meynell Langley can offer an accessible introduction to the issues involved.

Visits from schools are welcomed, and activities can be arranged to help pupils explore aspects of the farm appropriate to their curriculum studies.  Typical visits involve an introductory talk and safety briefing, a tour of the farm and two or three hands-on activities.  The maximum group size is 30 children.

Lodge Farm, Meynell Langley is a working organic beef and sheep farm with small scale organic vegetable and egg production.  At Lodge Farm we aim to produce healthy, natural organic food using farming methods which respect, protect and enhance the countryside and wildlife.

Our exciting choice of led activities has been created with education around food production in mind.

These are the kind of things groups can do on the farm.
